After a satisfying career as a newspaper writer and Editor, Barbara decided it was time to do something for her. She turned to WGANJ to learn golf so she and her husband could begin enjoying those golf vacations they've planned for years. After entering and completing the Beginner's Program in 2012, Barbara took the next step and became captain of the Advanced Beginner League at Paramus. She has volunteered her time and now joins the Board in 2014 in the position of Finance Director.
After hearing about the WGANJ from a friend in 2013, Carol joined the WGANJ leagues in 2014. With the help of her grandfather and the ladies of WGANJ, she learned the game of golf. Besides golfing, Carol also enjoys hiking, biking, kayaking and laughing.
In July 2017, she joined the WGANJ Board as a Finance Director.
Jennifer Fischer, Marketing Director
Jennifer Fischer is a Global IT executive with KPMG, specializing in IT-business strategy, operational excellence and intelligent automation. With an MBA and PhD, she is also a college professor. Jennifer joined WGANJ in 2017 and soon promoted its membership benefits and networking opportunities across KPMG’s Network of Women. She joined the WGANJ Board as Marketing Director in 2018, and looks forward to helping more businesses to empower women on and off the golf course.

Anne Hurler, Education Director
Anne works in the financial services industry in corporate risk management. She joined WGANJ in 2015 to meet like-minded women who want to explore learning golf in a supportive and fun environment. She started with an advanced beginner league and now is co-captain of a general league.
Advice to the lady golfer-to-be… “Don’t be intimidated by the game of golf! You will never know where this amazing journey will take you until you get out there and give it a shot (pun intended!) It’s OK to not be good! We learn as we grow and we grow as we learn.”
Jeanette Kirazian, is a CPA and the Founder and CEO of Libertas Accounting Services, an outsourced CFO and Tax Advisory firm. She has been a member of WGANJ since its inception and is currently a league captain. Many wonderful friendships and good times have been made possible through WGANJ.
Jane is currently enjoying retirement. Previously she worked for Honeywell for over 38 years most recently in the position of Information Technology Project Manager. She moved from Bergen County to West Milford, NJ in 2004 to live on a small lake. Jane has been a member of WGANJ since its inception and has served on the board since 2007. She is Co-Captain of the WGANJ Monday league at Bowling Green.
WGANJ is a great place to meet new friends and have fun!
Formerly a commercial banker specializing in trade finance, her interest in golf started at the urging of her husband, John, who was an avid golfer. Rather than become a golf widow, she sought an organization where she could find golfing buddies and at the same time improve her game. WGANJ fit the bill.
Val has been the Finance Officer for five years on the WGANJ Board. Val enjoys being on the Board and will now take her experience to organizing leagues.
Karen works at GAF as their Data Governance Sr. Manager. She joined WGANJ in 2015 in the advanced beginner league. In 2017 she became the co-captain of a general league. Realizing what a great organization WGANJ is and enjoying the game of golf, Karen volunteered as the Communications Director for 2018. Any spare time after golf, work and family goes to yoga and bicycling.

Cheryl joined WGANJ in June 2017 and is now the Store Director as well as a Captain for a Monday Night Advanced Beginner League in Paramus. She works for KPMG as a Sr. Administrative Assistant in the Global Mobility Service Group. She has been married to Steve for 33 years and they love playing golf together!
Pat Schumacher has been a pre-school teacher for 12 years at Lindgren nursery school in Closter NJ. She has been a part of WGANJ for 3 years. Pat started out as a captain of her league and is now director of membership.
