Governance
The Women's Golf Association of New Jersey (WGANJ) is incorporated in the State of New Jersey as a not-for-profit trade association within Section 501(c) (6) of the Internal Revenue Code. The Association is governed under the WGANJ By-Laws, dated December 30, 2003 and revised on September 5, 2007.
The organization structure is designed to ensure maximum efficiency and accountability to the Association membership.
- The Officers are comprised of the President and Officers responsible for finances, marketing, membership, leagues, education, operations, and programs.
- The Board of Directors is made up of members who oversee committees that are responsible for developing and coordinating activities for leagues, education, outings, special events, membership services and sponsorship.
- The Governance Board, comprised of founding members, oversees strategic long-range planning, assists with recruitment and retention, assures adherence to the by-laws, and nominates candidates for Board and Officer positions.
- The Advisory Board Members promote women's golf and assist the WGANJ Board in implementing its mission through access to their expertise and contacts in the communities we serve and among industry professionals.
